I’m currently teaching a graduate lecture class and am tasked with using the knowledge and experience of guest lecturers working in a variety of fields touching on the use and role of human-centered design to teach critical analysis and thinking. I have found that the tools focused on how to engage mixed groups in learning discussions have been incredibly useful. If I consider the students my “constituents,” the tools have been incredibly useful.
Specifically I’ve used Learning Circles for Root Cause Analysis, Asking Powerful Questions, and A Framework of Factors that Affect Political Support.
I’d love to hear thoughts from folks who are also looking for teaching tools.
